Lindsay loses her first tooth!!

Lindsay lost her first tooth on Monday the 16th! I thought she was a bit too young, but nature has to take it's course. She was really scared to get it pulled. When I picked her up from school, I saw something flopping around in her mouth and it was her tooth. I was afraid she was going to swallow it. I wanted to pull it right then, but she wanted her daddy to do it. I figured we had a year or so of straight teeth, but now we are on the journey to crazy, crowded, need orthodontic work, smile. I remember my teeth before braces and I sure hope she doesn't have to go through that. Dave still laughs at pictures of me when I was little. I know, rude huh?! If Dave has it his way with his girls though, he wants them to look ugly until they are 18. I think they are too cute to let a crooked smile bring them down.

Happy Birthday Dave!!!

I decided to try and make a fun cake for Dave's birthday. (Okay, I did it for the kids). I almost quit decorating it a few times, but in the end I think it turned out okay. Davis really loved it because he loves dogs.
Here is the party gang! I don't know who enjoyed Dave's birthday more; Dave or the kids. They insisted on the party hats and plates, etc... What is a birthday without them, right?

Davis and his contagious smile.

Sammie is just too cute. She still has dinner on her face.

Lindsay drew this picture for Dave. I love her drawings. It is never just of one thing. There are multiple things going on in this picture. The main one is someone is taking a picture of them together holding hands.
When I post about birthdays with my kids, I usually include a list of things that I love about them. I can't stop doing it now.
I love Dave because....
1. He makes me laugh (sometimes too hard that I cry).
2. He loves his family!!
3. He is a hard worker.
4. He is a good listener.
5. He is always up for a good time.
6. He is sensitive.
7. He is very talented in many, many ways.
8. He puts up with ME!!
9. He is my best friend.
10. He loves the Gospel.
11. He is supportive of me.
12. Did I mention he is handsome!?!
13. He is HANDSOME!!
14. I can always trust him.
The list can go on and on, but I won't bore you.
Dave I love you and always will!! Thanks for being the best husband and father!

AND......

We are adding another Roach girl to the family. Poor little Davis is going to be surrounded by girls. My husband says it will make him more sensitive. Hopefully it will come in handy when he starts dating (which will be a while). We are excited that she is healthy and the pregnancy is going well. Lindsay was a little sad when we left the office today because she was hoping for a boy. On the other hand, Sammie wanted a girl and she wants to name her "Sammie". You can't please them all.

Kids!!! You gotta LOVE em!

It has been a while since I last posted because I have found something else to take up my time. FACE BOOK!!! Just to let you know, I haven't totally neglected my kids but I did have to put my computer away for a few days. I thought I would post a few pictures of my adorable kids and tell them that I love them even if I am always on the computer.
This is what happened when I told the kids to get their pajamas on while I was on FACE BOOK!!
I don't know if they were making fun of their mom or wanting to look like their mom because they adore her!!
I love Davis' cheesy grin. We finally took his binky away since it was accidentally flushed down the toilet. We get to see this smile more often and he is talking a lot more also. Here is Davis picking the lint from between his toes at the dinner table. I guess we really need to work on his manners.
And this is Sammie with her underwear on her head!?! It all started when I was telling them a bedtime story and I wasn't being very creative so I told them the story of "crazy lady" who wears her underwear on her head. Next thing I know Sammie is wanting to be like "crazy lady". Next time I better be more careful.
Davis may still be small, but he sure is a big help sometimes. He LOVES to take the garbage to the curb. He would do it everyday if we let him. Hopefully he helps out this much when he is older.
